Co-op Hail is owned by it's more than 50,000 members.  Producers who purchase a crop hail insurance policy from us become members of the company.  There is a one-time fee of $1.00 for the purchases of a share.  In addition equity is built up in the members name through the payment of dividends to a maximum of $500.  Any excess is paid out in cash. ...more...

 

Benefits

  • A true co-operative company owned and operated by Manitoba and Saskatchewan farmers.

  • Elected Directors are active farmer/members who set Company policy and direction.

  • Equality: one member - one vote.

  • Members share in savings - Dividends have been paid in over 50% of the companies 61 years of operation.

  • Members build an equity position to a maximum of $500.

  • Coverage in effect until crop is harvested or October 15th whichever occurs first.

  • When your crop loss reaches or exceeds 85% a harvest allowance of 15% is paid to increase your award to 100%.  (Final award may be different for deductible policies.)

  • FIRE coverage on all policies if crop is accidentally destroyed by fire.

  •  Prompt settlement of claims. ( We are proud to advise that claim settlement usually happens within 7 days of crop adjustment.)

  • Co-op Hail has the financial strength to provide sound coverage.
